Request for Qualifications: Vegetation Management Services

The Yolo County Resource Conservation District (RCD) released a Request for Qualifications for qualified professional contractors for vegetation management work in/near Putah Creek and around several rural, high fire communities and roadways in Yolo and Solano counties. Contractors can express interest for one or both project types: vegetation management or pre/post fire vegetation work.  

The YCRCD has funding through 2031 to reduce vegetation and invasive trees (Tamarix spp., Ailanthus altissima, and Eucalyptus spp) and noxious invasive weeds (Arundo donax) in/near Putah Creek and to implement several high-priority vegetation/fuels reduction projects. Types of expertise that may be needed include qualified licensed contractors and arborists to perform hand and mechanical vegetation work such as: tree limbing, felling and thinning, pile burning and chipping, mastication, mowing, herbicide application, prescribed grazing, and weed whacking along county roads, rural highway corridors and creeks on public and private rural properties.    

YCRCD is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested Contractors providing professional services for one or more of the activities specified in the Scope of Services (see Attachment A) for various projects that shall be developed under “As-Needed Agreements” depending on the type of work needed and available funding.  

There is no deadline for submission. SOQs must be submitted by May 12, 2026 for work that may start as early as July 16, 2026.
