Request for Qualifications: Certified California Burn Bosses and Prescribed Grazing Consultants

(Tuesday, January 14, 2025) – The Yolo County Resource Conservation District and the Solano Resource Conservation District released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Certified California Burn Bosses and certified Rangeland Manager consultants for services related vegetation management and/or fuel reduction projects in Yolo County and the surrounding areas. In collaboration with CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit and other partners, Yolo County RCD and Solano RCD are working to complete vegetation management projects to improve ecosystem health and reduce the threat of wildfire to Yolo County.

Consultants interested in being considered eligible to provide prescribed fire planning must possess a Prescribed-Fire Burn Boss state certification for prescribed fire projects. Consultants interested in being considered eligible to provide rangeland management services must possess a Certified Rangeland Manager certification from the California-Pacific Section of the Society for Range Management for prescribed grazing projects.

There is no deadline for submission. Only Statements of Qualifications submitted by January 31, 2025 will be considered for work starting as early as February 10, 2025.
