RCD Seeking Qualifications for Wildfire Risk Assessment Plan

Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Yolo County

Request for Qualifications

The Yolo County Resource Conservation District (YCRCD) invites statements of qualifications from professional firms or individuals qualified in Fire Ecology, Ecology, Forestry or Natural Resource Management to develop a Wildfire Risk Assessment for Yolo County and to provide expertise to the YCRCD in developing a Community Wildfire Protection Plan for Yolo County.

Qualified firms or individuals must demonstrate:

  1. Experience with developing successful Wildfire Risk Assessment in an oak woodland and rangeland landscape and the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI).
  1. Familiarity with Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) plan development.
  1. Familiarity with county level Hazard Mitigation Plan development.
  1. Knowledge of Fire Safe Councils, Prescribed Burn Associations and the National Fire Protection Association Firewise Program.

Include related qualifications and experience of persons who would be directly involved with the project. List and provide a brief description of similar or relevant past experiences. List completed Wildfire Risk Assessment projects and related client contacts. Indicate availability of firm to work on project in Yolo County.
